This Site was made in order to realize and to approach the weather matters in the area of Messinia in time, starting from some references of the past or even the present with photos, texts and descriptions.

Very important is also the live report and the record of the main meteorogical parameters, taken using weather stations and instruments that we have already install and we are going to istall in the future.

For this reason two wireless amateur weather stations were bought and installed in the area, one on the 17th of July of 2005 in the town of Kalamata in the area of Kipoupoli and the second in the Taygetos mountain on the 34th km of the national road Kalamata-Sparti ,at the Touristiko Hotel and Cafe Restaurant at the altitude of 1300m.But we have already installed some rain meters in some parts of Messinia and we are going to present the statistics on a monthly basis.

We should mention that this effort is quite an amateur effort based on two persons that meteorology is their amateur concern and not their proffesion but they try for the best scientific and clear record and the best comprehension of the weather matters of Messinia.

All the statistics and records can be easily found on our web pages and everybody is free of extracting and using them for any reason or publication and if there is the need of any support you can contact with us.
